A new era for Kaveney HR Solutions

20th-Dec-Sue-and-Hele_20211221-082301_1 Takeover day!

Important changes to Kaveney HR Solutions Limited…

I am delighted to share with you some changes to Kaveney HR Solutions Limited. My trusted friend and colleague Helen Dawson will be taking over the business in January as I pursue an exciting opportunity (more on that later!).

The business has been a passion and driver for me for the past 13 years and I am delighted that the legacy will continue under Helen's expert stewardship.

Helen is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) having operated in Senior HR roles for more than 10 years and with over 20 years HR experience in a variety of sectors – including manufacturing, tourism and hospitality and professional services so is well placed to support clients going forward.

Whilst the legal name of the business will remain as Kaveney HR Solutions Limited, Helen will trade under 'Dawson Kaveney HR' so you'll see some refreshed company branding over the coming weeks as we work towards the formal handover date of 3rd January 2022. A sneak preview of the new logo is attached!

Helen and Sue have known each other for many years professionally having both been part of Cumbria HR Leaders network and professional networking groups, but they really got to know each other and developed a personal friendship when they started running together in 2016.They can also be seen on the fells together and the image is from the top of Hallin Fell as part of the 13.1 mile Daffy Do walk!

Since then, they have been seen in the wind and rain, on dark early mornings, pounding the streets of Carlisle and Helen was a huge support to Sue when she did the Great North Run in 2018 – both with her training and actually on the day by being at the finishing straight to cheer her on!

Helen, like Sue, also provides support to her local community and is one of Sue's regular volunteers for the Royal British Legion – both at Poppy Appeal time and during the #legitforthelegion running events.

Of the sale Helen says "I am delighted to be able to continue Sue's legacy and look forward to developing Dawson Kaveney further and working with current and new clients to continue the excellent support the businesses of Cumbria and beyond have come to expect"

Sue herself said "After a fabulous 13 years I am delighted that Helen will be able to continue to provide support to the SME community and it is great that a friend and colleague has invested in the business"

In terms of what I will be doing – well I am joining Bedspace Resource Limited on a fulltime basis as Director of People & Charities – I have been with them the last 6 months part-time. Bedspace were one of my very first clients 13 years ago and they support some of the most vulnerable young people in the North West. We are just establishing a charitable trust and I am excited to be part of the next step in their journey.

As you all know I am passionate about my local community, volunteering and giving back and the values and culture at Bedspace as well as a fabulous team will allow me to do this. You can follow me still on LinkedIn and as Bedspace expands (hopefully into Cumbria) then I am sure we will still be in touch. https://www.linkedin.com/company/bedspace-resource/

In the meantime, Helen and I both wish you, your staff and your families a relaxing Christmas and the very best for 2022.
